Fans crowded in Central Park to celebrate the birthday of British singer sensation, John Lennon, who will never be forgotten. The man who just wanted to give peace a chance.
People from all over the world gathered to sing songs such as "Imagine" this past Saturday in honor of the beloved ex-Beatle. "His music speaks to people of any nation, any age..." said Karen Kriendler Nelson. Those who grew up listening to his music to the teens of today felt peace as they celebrated.
Lennon's birthday was not just an event in the US but it began early Friday morning in his native home of England. A sculpture was uncovered by Lennon's ex-wife and son to celebrate. Everywhere around the world people gathered for the world wide birthday celebration. A mosaic was donated by the city of Naples, Italy and there is a memorial in Spain representing his memory. No one will forget the peace loving activist and sensation singer and this is shown through what the world may know as the largest birthday party in history
